The promises, in full
Warranty & delivery
We would rather you read this page before buying than after something goes wrong. It is deliberately short enough to read with a cup of tea.
The warranty
Mattresses: ten years. Covered: foam that sinks more than 25 mm under a flat measurement, seams that split, zips that fail, covers that pill or tear in normal use. Not covered: damage from misuse, washing the cover at the wrong temperature, or use on an unsupported base (the base must be flat or slatted with gaps under 7 cm).
The Wingback chair: five years. Covered: the gas lift, the mesh, the mechanism, the castors and the frame. Fabric wear from ordinary office use is covered; chewed arm pads and cat claw marks, fond as we are of cats, are not.
The warranty follows the product, not the receipt — if you sell or gift an Onmin, the balance transfers with it. Claims start with an email to [email protected] and your order number; we usually ask for a photograph, occasionally for the item back, and we pay return postage on confirmed claims.
The sixty-night comfort exchange
Any Onmin mattress can be exchanged once, for a different firmness or model, any time between night thirty and night sixty. You pay only the price difference (or receive the difference back); we collect the first mattress and send the second with no delivery charge. We start the clock at thirty rather than one because a new mattress genuinely needs three weeks to break in — exchanging on night two usually trades a temporary problem for a permanent one.
Delivery
- UK mainland: free, typically 3–5 working days from order. Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands: £25–£45 by size, quoted before you commit.
- Mattresses travel rolled and boxed. Unroll, and the mattress is sleepable the same evening; it reaches full height and its final feel within 48 hours. A faint fresh-foam smell is normal for a day — airing the room speeds it up.
- The Wingback arrives 90% assembled in one box, 14 kg, with the tools included.
- Room of choice as standard: the courier carries the box to the room you name, not just the doorstep. Old-mattress take-back is available for £30, arranged on the same delivery.
- We take the packaging back if you leave the box flat-packed for the driver — it goes to our Yorkshire workshop for reuse rather than recycling.
Returns and cancellations
You may cancel any order before dispatch for a full refund. After delivery, UK distance-selling rules give you fourteen days to change your mind; mattresses returned unopened under this window are refunded in full, and opened mattresses under this window are refunded less a £45 collection and repackaging fee. The sixty-night exchange is the route for "I slept on it and the firmness is wrong"; the fourteen-day window is for "the room is smaller than I measured".
Questions before ordering — base compatibility, stair access, sizes for cot beds? Call +44 117 555 0198 (Mon–Fri 9:00–17:30) or write to [email protected]. A human who knows the products answers both.
